And, through her story, the reports will re-examine a problem many in law enforcement now believe has been grossly underestimated. "We can't do that to the victims of these frauds and scams either. These are professionals, they do it every single day. They're good at it." The OWO did not immediately reply to a request for comment on Parker’s pending record fish.

On April 7, 15-year-old Jaylynn Parker of New Richmond, Ohio pulled in a 101-pound, 56-inch blue catfish on a jugline from a creek behind a family friend’s house. The Outdoor Writers of Ohio, a non-governmental organization of outdoor media professionals that maintains the state’s fish record database, is currently deciding whether to name the fish as the formal state record. More debate sprung up over whether a fish caught on a jugline should be recognized alongside Ohio’s rod-and-reel records. As OWO member Chip Hart wrote in the organization’s Facebook page, the Committee recognizes a separate bowfishing category, and discussion of a separate jug and trotline category will come up at the OWO conference this month. Last year, Gowe left her job with a farm supply company and has dedicated herself to sharing her mother's story as a cautionary tale. At a speech to a women's group in Iowa earlier this year, she urged financial institutions and law enforcement to do more to protect victims. A year-long CBS News investigation has found a growing number of federal agents, local police and online security experts believe the law enforcement response has, to date, failed to address the problem.

All dinners are served with one serving of white beans, hush puppies, coleslaw, and your choice of side. The current Ohio blue catfish record is 96 pounds and 54 ½ inches in length. Chris Rolph of Williamsburg caught the fish on the Ohio River on June 11, 2009. The catch raised a bit of a firestorm on social media over Ohio’s juglining rules and how the record system mixes float-line records with rod-and-reel records.

There's Someone Inside Your House Film

there's someone inside your house

Next on the killer’s list is the student-body president, who’s likewise presented with proof of her misdeeds in the lead-up to her violent end. A pattern thus established, the question naturally becomes which of their classmates is taking the idea of cancel culture a little too literally — and whether they’re aware of the incident that resulted in Makani’s abrupt move. I absolutely adored Santa Clarita Diet before I got the audition, and then when I did, I was like, “Holy fuck, this is amazing.” And everybody was so cool. We did film in Santa Clarita, and we actually had hour lunches.

Film tropes:

There’s Someone Inside Your House is intermittently effective, but ultimately unremarkable, and it feels like a product of its time in disappointing ways. Throughout "There's Someone Inside Your House," Makani is tortured by her own dark past that seems to haunt her everyday life. In the last half of the film, Makani is almost killed by the masked intruder, but she's thankfully rescued when her friend Alex Crisp (Asjha Cooper) stops by her home.

So that show was brilliant, and the writers were so smart. But we actually had the fire going, and we did film at a corn maze. So we had controlled fire for that end scene where all of us pull up and we’re trying to figure out a game plan. In the distance, there was obviously some CGI, but we did that, which really helped with our emotion, especially that end scene.

How Parker Finn's 'Smile' Went From Streaming to Theatrical in a Single Night

While the cast of characters is strong, and the setup is fun, the plot ultimately leaves something to be desired. Luckily, for those who got lost in the weeds in this story, Decider is here to help. From the killer's themed costume to the action set pieces to the actual reason the killer is killing, There's Someone Inside Your House is a haze of slasher malaise.

Who is behind the mask(s)?

Makani finds herself left alone in the school building, after the rest of the school leaves for a field trip to the Sanford family corn maze, and Makani misses the bus. When she sees Ollie’s car pull up, she flees and runs into her friend Caleb in the hallway. Before she can fill him in, Caleb is stabbed with a sword by the killer. At the same time, Ollie is running into the building, yelling Makani’s name to warn her—meaning the killer is not Ollie. That's right, the gimmick isn't even the gimmick. Also, the unspoken rule that the first two kills establish -- that the local bogeyman is going after people who are secretly bad people -- gets entirely demolished by the third kill when the target is a decent person.

Makani was part of a swim team back in Hawaii, and her secret revolved around a hazing ritual she and the varsity rookies had gone through. They were forced to drink alcohol and do different physical activities on the beach in front of a huge bonfire. Makani said the seniors were trying to make the underclassmen turn on each other. Makani's friend Jasmine pushed her, and when Makani pushed her back, Jasmine fell into the bonfire. Makani said she went to trial and was acquitted, but she still received daily threats, so the choice was made to move to Nebraska and change her name. Zach said all of his classmates were hypocrites just like his father.

Zach explains in his little villain monologue that his intention was to teach his father (who is also a Nazi?) a lesson. Zach stabs Ollie and explains that he’s not a sociopath, and doesn’t want to feel ashamed just because he was born to privilege. Then he also talks a bit about how everyone is wearing fake faces, hence the whole mask thing. Oh, and also, he is going to frame Makani for everything, which is why he handed her the sword earlier. (Honestly, there are a lot of threads floating around here, and none of them really connect.) Then Ollie tases Zach, and Makani stabs him, and it’s over.

there's someone inside your house

Having exposed his actual secret of being a murderous psychopath, Makani then ultimately kills him, saying she doesn't need to wear a mask to show Zach who he truly was. You’re not onto something; you actually hit the nail right on the head. Our goal was to create this coming-of-age horror story, and in a lot of ways, it’s an American horror story.

There's Someone Inside Your House Ending Explained (Who Is The Killer?).

Oh, and the corn is on fire like in Freddy vs. Jason. And the dad is a cruel real estate developer like in Heathers. And people are killed in ways fitting their individual hangups like in A Nightmare on Elm Street. It wants very much to be all the things, but in that effort it loses any semblance of a satisfying story. Ollie was a loner, and in not having any (known) friends, the Osborne High students all started pointing an accusatory finger at him.

They arrive to find the cornfield maze up in flames, and Makani and Ollie run to confront the killer right before he kills their friend Zach's (Dale Whibley) father. The killer then takes off their mask and reveals himself to be Zach all along. Apparently he was fed up with being made to feel guilty for being a privileged white man, and is also sick of people hiding their truest selves. The next day, Zach's rich father, Skipper, holds a corn maze next to the school. Darby messages Makani that Ollie has been released by his brother just as his car pulls up to the school parking lot. Makani runs inside to avoid him, and she bumps into Caleb, who is then stabbed by the killer for trying to hide his homosexuality.

Jackson is then stabbed to death by someone wearing a mask resembling his face, and the killer then exposes the film of Caleb's assault to the entire school. Makani Young (Sydney Park) is a high school student with a secret. When students at Osbourne High are killed off one by one by a Malevolent Masked Man hellbent on exposing their lies, she has to protect herself and her secrets. After Zach revealed himself to Makani and Ollie, Ollie tried to tase Zach, but the taser jammed.

Rodrigo finds a trail of pills leading to his bottle before everyone gets text messages about his addiction. As the lights go out, prompting everyone to run away, Rodrigo is pursued by the killer wearing a mask of his face, who ultimately forces him to choke on his fentanyl pills before fatally slashing his throat. As the countdown to graduation begins, students at Osborne High are being stalked by a maniac intent on exposing their darkest secrets to the entire town, terrorizing victims while wearing a life-like mask of their own face. With a mysterious past of her own, Makani and her friends must discover the killer's identity before they become victims themselves. Halloween has always been a special day for Sydney Park, but this year’s celebration was extra meaningful.

Theres Someone Inside Your House Ending Explained: Who Is the Killer?

there's someone inside your house

Set in a rural Nebraska town, the film kicks off with a high school football star being killed in his own home (so the title holds, at first). With the town reeling, the next then kill solidifies the fact that the murderer is going after people with dark secrets. Specifically, secrets about the victims being purposefully awful people.

there's someone inside your house

WHO IS THE KILLER IN THERE’S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE?

Admittedly, There's Someone Inside Your House is a good title for a film looking to play around with tropes and get a bit winky and clever with set pieces. But what we get is a flat, muddled mess that fails because it just wants to have everything. It wants to have someone run through a house, but also a church.

Pam Grier Talks About How The Horror Genre Has Evolved and Her "Complex" Role in 'Them' Season 2

It’s a crazy birth story because I swallowed my mother’s umbilical cord. So when I was born through a C-section, I was not crying and I was actually dead. So they had to smack my back and get all of the stuff out of me… There’s more to the birth story, but Halloween is the day.

An updated take on the slasher genre

So we pay homage to the John Hughes Breakfast Club types of movies, while keeping the integrity of Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer. The next day at school, friends Makani, Alex, Zach, Darby, and Rodrigo let Caleb sit with them at lunch after he is shunned by the rest of the school. The school's student council president, Katie, announces that there will be a memorial at a church. At the church, while Katie is setting up, someone begins playing a racist and homophobic podcast that she recorded.

That game, its audience, and the movie all stop dead in their tracks when everybody receives a mysterious text message with a video clip of Jackson and his buddies’ crime. Jackson’s transgression is somehow not the main focus of the movie, though openly gay quarterback Caleb (Burkely Duffield) does score a touchdown while everyone else looks at their phones. The graduating class at Osborne High is being targeted by a masked assailant, intent on exposing the darkest secret of each victim, and only a group of misfit outsiders can stop the killings...

As soon as it starts to lay down tracks, and head in a certain direction, it derails and scraps the story for something drastically different or confusingly contradictory. In the end, despite the title, it's just a masked someone killing teenagers for reasons and those reasons are terribly dumb. Yes, there's a certain formula that has, and still can, work for the teen slasher genre. Quickly though, that blueprint is ditched in favor of a story where anyone, including our heroes, who by all plot armor accounts can't secretly be bigots or homophobes, are in danger. But then...it just becomes a story about someone killing any teenager in town for any reason. There's Someone Inside Your House is a wholly crummy affair with no teeth, no point, and no heart.

Drew Barrymore was walking around the table and saying hi to everybody and hugging everybody. And then she hugged me and was like, “Oh my gosh, you are so sexy.” And then she grabbed me and embraced me. I think you are hysterical.” And I thought, “This is insane.

WHAT IS THE THERE’S SOMEONE INSIDE YOUR HOUSE ENDING EXPLAINED?

Makani decides to reconnect with her friend from the bonfire. Read on for a plot summary of There’s Someone Inside Your House, including the There’s Someone Inside Your House ending explained. There’s Someone Inside Your House is streaming on Netflix starting Oct. 6, 2021.

Still, the most frustrating thing about “There’s Someone Inside Your House” has to be the gulf between its characters’ stated qualities and their actual behavior. Chipper and cruel student council leader Katie (Sarah Dugdale) gets stalked and dispatched in an early kill scene set in a church, which suggests that the filmmakers are more interested in plot twists than character development. And honestly, Katie’s not much more of a character than, say, Makani, whose main appeal stems from her barely considered past. In the fictional town of Osborne, Nebraska, high school football player Jackson Pace awakens from a nap to find his house covered in photographs taken on the night he beat up a gay classmate, Caleb, as part of a haze.

She is confronted by the killer, who is wearing a mask of her face, and stabbed in the confessional while attempting to call 911. The next night, Zach hosts a party while his family is out of town where everyone must share their secrets. The partygoers get high, while Rodrigo takes fentanyl, which is his real secret.

Yeah, in general, it’s always really heavy when you’re carrying shame and guilt in your personal life, so having to portray that in a character who I came to really adore and admire was challenging. She’s a departure from me as a person, but she’s also a departure from any of the roles I’ve ever done in my career. So I created a playlist for her and listened to that the whole duration of filming. I did my research, obviously, with the book, but I even created my own backstory and moments. ” So it was really fun, but towards the end of filming, it was definitely hard to let her go because she is such an internal character.

Yes, we had a couple other scenes that we ended up reshooting as well — scenes that Netflix was very specific about — so we were thankful for it. It meant that Netflix was on board and wanted us to put our best foot forward. They flew us out to Vancouver again, which was amazing. It was so weird, too, because we had to quarantine for two weeks, but the rewrites made sense. He took Netflix’s notes and was like, “Okay, here’s what we’re going to do. This is so much better.” And I think it worked out.

The killer gives Makani the knife before Ollie and Makani's friends arrive and save Caleb. Makani then realizes that the killer is headed for the corn maze. So the film is actively trying to be about things, and is not a meta-celebration of itself and its genre — and is therefore novel. At the same time, it adheres to many slasher tropes, and leads to a noisy conclusion in which the villain spends a lot of time talking when he/she/it should be killing, and isn’t that always the villain’s tragic hubristic downfall? I shrug in the general direction of the ending, but the rest of it generates enough narrative traction to maintain our interest. And for those of you who are here for the kills, well, the kills are damn killy, and even if they’re not innovative — knife meets body; repeat — for people who want kills, the movie is better than one without kills at all.

Let's dive deeper into the There's Someone Inside Your House ending. Makani also confesses to her friends that she pushed a girl into a bonfire during a hazing event at her old school, and was charged with assault. As it turns out, Makani’s friend Rodrigo (Diego Josef) is next to die, after his drug dependency habit is exposed.

Th CIGA Design Blue Planet Titanium is a GPHG award-winning watch

ciga design blue planet

The sapphire crystal’s curve blends perfectly into that of the rounded (Ikepod-like) and brushed case. That case is — despite its 46mm diameter — surprisingly comfortable, thanks to its lugless design, soft silicon strap and (in the case of the tested model) lightweight titanium construction. If you’ve ever wondered to yourself what all those watch companies that make fake luxury watches could achieve if only they worked on something original, your answer has arrived. Welcome to the award-winning, $2,000, CIGA Design Blue Planet—and it’s pretty special. I was surprised how easily the watch wore while running errands in New York – it's not like I ever forgot it was on my wrist, but it was comfortable.

Seeing the planet beneath the fragile-looking crystal, a pretty decent scale representation of the Earth’s atmosphere as it happens, is a stark reminder of just how vulnerable it—and we—really are. The Blue Planet is a more detailed and intricate timepiece than anything Zhang had previously released, so there's the natural inclination to introduce it as a new "halo" product at a much, much higher price point. To many entrepreneurs and owners of small businesses, the sort of recognition that CIGA Design received from the GPHG would warrant a price increase, but Zhang is dedicated to keeping his watches accessible. Zhang won't confirm much about his upcoming plans, but he does tease that future editions of the Blue Planet are on the way. What he promises, however, is that his watches will always remain approachable in price.

But more and more, Chinese brands are proving those assumptions wrong and demonstrating that the country has horological prowess beyond shadow manufacturing. In fact, brands like CIGA Design are winning awards–and not just participation ribbons. Inspired by our responsibility to preserve the world around us, the Blue Planet doesn’t just impress with its three-dimensional representation of our planet—it presents a new way of displaying the time. There is a compass rose on the globe, nestled between Madagascar and Antarctica.

The three-dimensional globe has received an intricate micro-carved decoration that reflects real-world topographic data, replicating the mountain ranges and terrain of different parts of Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. The visible part of the globe display is clearly curved – Flat Earthers need not apply – providing a really interesting depth effect to the entire watch. CIGA Design won the award for combining an interesting design (the globe is engraved to provide topographic detail) with genuinely imaginative mechanical watchmaking, all placed in a relatively affordable package that starts under $1,000 USD. The CIGA Design Blue Planet dial is one of, if not the most unique dial I’ve seen in a watch that costs less than $1500. And once you get used to its unique layout and how the time is displayed, it’s an incredibly fresh new way to get excited about the future of the company. If this design speaks to you, you’re presumably open to something a bit unconventional and attention-grabbing, anyway. So perhaps it’s not necessarily a drawback for you that it can elicit a response along the lines of “What the heck is that?

BOARD OF DIRECTORS

However, the 15.6mm overall case thickness does make itself apparent in daily wear, and thanks to a floaty stance on the wrist this is a difficult watch to slip under shirt cuffs. Like the previous Blue Planet, water resistance is something of an Achilles heel for the Blue Planet – Gilding Version, with a subpar official rating of only 30 meters. That’s all very well and good and I’m sure the polar bears will be very grateful, but a watch that doesn’t tell the time isn’t much of a watch. With no hands carving up the globe like a great, astronomical pie, how does the owner of one of these watches deign to know if they are late or on time? Quite simply, as it happens, because floating in the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and Antarctica is a compass rose. Follow its direction to the outer edge and there you’ll see two orbiting rings, the outer reading hours and inner minutes.

While the footprint is pretty much the same as it’s predecessor, and I won’t go back and rehash it (You can read the full review here), the long and short of it is that 46mm has never worn so well. Due to the case shape, it wears much smaller than the size would suggest, and with the Gilding Edition, the case gets the Ceramic upgrade that it deserves. In keeping with the pebble-esque case shape, the black ceramic is actually fairly difficult to work with in this non-traditional shape. It would typically be difficult to get the finishing to look good, but CIGA nailed it. The polished ceramic gives an old-world aesthetic and I love it.

It’s not the “asynchronous” method of time-telling that makes this watch hard to read but, rather, basic principles of legibility. Due to the nature of this time display, it’s necessary to read the minute track numerals rather than see where they’re pointing on the dial — and their size makes that particularly difficult most of the time. Further, that compass rose doesn’t exactly stand out and orient the user’s gaze when checking the time at a glance. Unlike a regular minute hand, which rotates 160 degrees every hour, this one has to adjust to keep up with the hour hand that rotates 30 degrees. This means the movement (made by Chinese company Seagull) had to be customized in order for the minute track to rotate 190 degrees per hour.

I Carry: FN Reflex 9 mm Pistol in an ANR Holster An Official Journal Of The NRA

anr design holsters

There are still holster makers out there that don’t get this. There’s one significant departure in the Reflex compared to other micro-9 mm double-stack pistols—it’s not striker-fired. An internal hammer-fired single-action-only trigger means the Reflex has a better trigger feel, but there is a definite tradeoff. At the range for the product launch a few months ago, I experienced a handful of failures to fire that turned out to be entirely my fault.

Speaking of customers, clever marketing and a savvy Internet presence certainly helped ANR Design from the start.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

Comfortably and safely carry and conceal your firearms with our minimalistic KYDEX Holster design. Our KYDEX Appendix Inside the Waistband holsters provide you with full trigger guard protection and perfect retention. Utilizing a Concealment Claw, this holster is designed with the highest level of concealment in mind. The users belt applies positive pressure on the claw, turning the firearms grip into the body.

Best AR-15 Options For Any Budget And Buyer’s Guide

In fact, it was well into the start of the micro-9 mm double-stack pistol craze started with the SIG Sauer P365 and continued with the Springfield Armory Hellcat, among others. Other than the subcompact, single-stack 503, the next-smallest FN was the subcompact 509, which is certainly concealable, but not like the P365 or Hellcat. When it comes to carrying a handgun the first thing you need is a good holster. Our EDC Belt has one of the slimmest profiles possible with a buckle.

The smooth, rounded edges prevent snagging on clothing during the draw, which is crucial in high-stress situations, whether self-defense or working on drills. The straightforward design not only contributes to its robustness but also enhances its overall functionality. Transparency and Honesty – ANR Design does not make up deceitful statements in an attempt to manipulate sales.

Enter the Reflex, FN America’s entry in the micro-9 mm double-stack category. Not only does the Reflex check all the micro 9 boxes, with a 3.1-inch barrel, 6.2-inch overall length and 18.5-ounce weight, but it also maintains the other aspects we look for. Capacity is 11 rounds with the flush-fit magazine, with a 15-round extended magazine also coming standard. My personal preference is to keep the extended floorplate or even the extended magazine and simply opt for better cover garments, but that’s a personal preference that might not work for everyone. The new FN High Power has a 4.7-inch barrel, 8-inch overall length, 5.6-inch height and 40-ounce weight. While this is a littler larger and heavier than traditional concealed-carry choices, there’s no denying the advantage of its size and heft when shooting.

Available for a wide range of guns, with a nice range of options as well.

The company has done a fantastic job making sure there’s plenty of options available, so we’re going to present three options that are available right off the bat. Innovation and Continuous improvement – ANR Design doesn’t jump on the wagon every time there is a new production technique or fad in the thermoplastic world. We carefully analyze and assess the most effective means to move forward with new production capabilities.

Hang Tuff Splatter Pack Kit

Made with the highest quality materials available, ANR's KYDEX holsters are built for hard use, standing up to the punishment of their sponsored competition shooters and everyday users. Each KYDEX Holster is CNC cut and handcrafted in the USA. Since the new FN High Power breaks with tradition, we’ve gone with a Kydex appendix holster for this kit. ANR Design offers a variety of high-quality kydex rigs for the concealed carrier, and the Appendix with Claw holster is designed, obviously to be carried in the appendix position. The Claw helps tuck the holster into the body, while the minimalist single-sheet design offers adjustable retention with a single screw. Given the small size and great concealability of the Reflex, the first holster is a Kydex appendix holster from ANR Design.

Today on "I Carry" we have the new FN Reflex 9 mm pistol in some ANR holsters.

The three position adjustable keeper lets you decide what position works for you, then trim away the excess. Classic looks and utility combined to make the perfect EDC belt. The FN 545 Tactical is a bit on the larger side, with a 4.7-inch barrel, overall length of 8.3 inches, height of 6 inches and 31 ounce weight.

With a flush-fit magazine, capacity is 15 rounds; however an extended, 18-round magazine also comes with the FN 545. That’s a hefty payload of .45 ACP, for those who prefer that round for self-defense. It’s longer, taller and heavier than the FN 509 Tactical in the same family, and about the same dimensions as a standard 1911 in everything except width, where it’s wider and weight, where it’s lighter. On top of belt affixing options, the Appendix Holster Builder with Polymer Claw – Inside The Waistband also features the polymer claw to give the gun’s grip just a bit more concealability. I’ve always liked claws, especially since I carry around a little extra guttural girth, making me appreciate the extra help to make the gun disappear under my shirt or jacket. The claw’s two screws also serve as the holster’s retention adjustment system.

Obviously, new color options are available, evident in the flat-dark earth model we have here today. And, the new High Power is a half-pound heavier than the model it replaces, a hefty 40 ounces over the original’s 32. That extra heft, though, translates into a pistol that is supremely easy to shoot—it combines the weight of a full-size Government 1911 with an excellent single-action trigger, but with 18 rounds onboard. Since the Reflex is brand new, and one of the very common concerns when it comes to new releases is having holsters available, FN has taken care of it.

It starts with a classic Kydex,  taco-style shell that, during my testing, kept its shape perfectly and held the gun tightly enough that I felt confident carrying it all day long. Not once did I worry about the gun popping out as I went about my day. The biggest complaint about Kydex holsters is they can be uncomfortable because the stuff plastic presses against flesh. While you would certainly expect the Reflex to be ideal for inside-the-waistband carry, its small size makes outside-the-waistband carry equally plausible. To that end, we’ve added the ANR Design Standard Outside Waistband holster to this kit to show how easily the Reflex can be concealed, even when carried outside the waistband. The sights have been updated to ledge-style to allow one-hand racking of the slide in emergency situations.

The scabbard can be used as a secondary weapon constructed of materials suitable for defense. The sword and scabbard are analogous to the gun and holster. No, there were no magic beans, lottery winnings or rich, dead uncles to anchor their dream. Alex and the rest of his employees simply busted their butts.

WHAT'S INCLUDED AND NOT INCLUDED IN YOUR CRUISE FARE WHEN CRUISING FROM SYDNEY AND BRISBANE

A refreshment package includes all beverages without alcohol, and a soda package includes only soda onboard. Included in your cruise fare is unlimited food from complimentary dining venues onboard. While the restaurants vary based on cruise ship, all Royal Caribbean vessels have a Main Dining Room and buffet.

SAND-WRITE YOUR ADVENTURE

what is included in the royal caribbean cruise

A cruise to Caribbean is filled with exciting destinations, each with its own style and vibe. If you're sure that Royal Caribbean is your line, look for a travel agent who specializes in trips with the brand. You want someone who knows all 34 of those cabin categories that we mentioned above and, preferably, has done ship inspections to see them firsthand.

Some Royal Caribbean ships have pools in the Solarium while some Oasis-class ships do not. Additionally, many ships in the fleet also offer other pool deck amenities like slides and a kid’s aquapark. On every ship guests can enjoy three meals a day (with some snacks in between) at the casual Windjammer. This buffet is part of the cruise fare and offers a variety of menu items morning, noon, and night. RipCord by iFLY, the skydiving simulator found on Quantum Class ships, has both complimentary and extra cost options available. Complimentary time slots often get reserved quickly, so it’s important to reserve a time slot in the Royal Caribbean app as soon as you get onboard the ship.

Food and Dining

Access to most of Royal Caribbean’s entertainment offerings is complimentary for cruise guests, including Broadway stage shows and other performances. Even water shows and ice-skating shows are offered for free on some ships. The ship’s pools and gym facilities are also open to all at no additional cost. Royal Caribbean has plentiful nightlife options, including bars, clubs and arcades. Unless you have a drinks package, you’ll pay for alcoholic beverages, as well as premium coffee.

If, however, you want a more intimate dining experience, you will want to consider splurging on a specialty dining meal. Of course, there are ways for you to check in on everyone at home without paying $20 per day, such as only connecting while in port at local restaurants or coffee shops. For most, however, it's not feasible to be completely out of touch with the world. Unlike gratuities that can be adjusted at Guest Services, port fees are paid in full by the time of final payment. A passenger staying in suites can get to the Diamond Plus level with just 13 seven-night cruises.

Beverage Options Onboard Royal Caribbean Cruises

Royal Caribbean ships offer vacationers a ton of options, whether it be for dining (some vessels have more than 20 distinct places to grab a bite) or entertainment. There are several dining options where every bite is complimentary. This includes the casual, family-friendly Surfside Eatery buffet and Surfside Bites, your go-to for sweet and salty snacks. If you're staying in a suite, there's Coastal Kitchen and the Grove. More Icon of the Seas complimentary restaurants will be announced in the near future, so stay tuned. However, on cruises departing from the UK, China and Singapore there may be a fee to use the iFly and the North Star observation pod.

From the Bahamas to Haiti, Royal Caribbean offers a range of itineraries allowing guests to delve into different parts of the Caribbean. Each port of call offers unique experiences, whether it’s basking under the sun on a stunning beach or engaging in the local culture. Royal Caribbean cruises are celebrated for their extensive range of entertainment and activities, ensuring an enjoyable voyage for everyone. Whether it’s thrilling outdoor adventures you seek, or you’d prefer to relax indoors, the ship has something for you. For a more laid-back dining experience, Windjammer Cafe is an excellent choice, serving an extensive variety of food options.

In a typical summer, the line will deploy about half its ships on sailings to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Bermuda while sending another seven or eight ships to Europe. The line's remaining eight vessels, split among two classes, are relatively smaller, with maximum occupancy topping out at around 2,500 passengers. Together, the 19 Icon, Oasis, Quantum, Freedom and Voyager class vessels make up Royal Caribbean's big-ship fleet. The Oasis Class and Icon Class ships are not the only biggies in the Royal Caribbean fleet. Five big Quantum Class ships and three big Freedom Class ships each have total capacities ranging from around 4,500 to 5,600 passengers. A sixth Oasis Class ship — Utopia of the Seas — is scheduled to join the fleet later this year, and the line recently ordered a seventh vessel in the series that'll be ready in 2028.

While Adventure Ocean® youth and teen programs are complimentary, there is an hourly charge for the Royal Babies & Tots drop-off nursery, available on select ships for children between 6 months and 3 years old. Sara Strickland is a passionate and adventurous travel writer who is constantly on the lookout for hidden gem restaurants and unique experiences. With an insatiable wanderlust, she has made it her mission to explore the world and share her discoveries with fellow travelers through her popular travel blog, Addicted to Vacation. Taking a stroll through Central Park, you could easily forget you’re onboard a ship. This tranquil outdoor space is designed to emulate an actual city park, filled with lush greenery, trees, and blooming flowers. The stateroom’s size, amenities, and layout are contingent on the category you choose.

You will also find some restaurants or bar venues on board that offer “A la carté” menu options. Although your cruise fare covers a variety of dining options, such as the Main Dining Room and casual eateries onboard, you might want to indulge in something different one evening. Obviously, the price you pay for your cruise fare has a bearing on the price of your cruise. Whereas if you pick something like the AquaTheater Suite, the Ultimate Family Suite, or the Royal Loft Suite, be prepared for a much larger fare. Your cruise fare includes your accommodation in a stateroom of the selected category that you booked.

For megaresort lovers, Royal Caribbean may be the ultimate cruise line. This blog helps over a million people to plan their cruises each month. Find five unique food stands serving a smorgasbord of options for your crew at AquaDome Market. Stop by this all-day window for Japanese street food and sushi rolls in to-go boxes.

If you want to just walk off the ship and go to the beach, you’ll have lots of included options. If you have a beverage package, you can use it at both of these destinations. If you are visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay or Labadee (in Haiti), you may wonder what is included.
